It is the city where child trafficking is a burning issue and it also provides a platform for the network of child traffickers. In October 2008, Nigerian police arrested two nurses and the owner of a private clinic for trafficking in children (Aborisade, Aderinto, 81). The lawful authorities were informed from a girl after she escaped from the hospital.
