Abstract

This research paper is about the “disposal of garbage” which is a problem that continues to grow with the development of industrialized nations and the growth of population. Since the beginning of time people have needed to find a way of disposing of their trash.

Proposal to Solve the Problem of Poor Garbage Disposal in the Palm Beach County.

Introduction

Palm Beach County is located about 70 miles north of Miami, on the east coast of Florida. Its population of approximately 1.2 million makes it the third largest county in the state. Thirty-seven incorporated towns make up the region. The unemployment rate in the county was 7.9 percent in 2004. The average price of a unit owner-occupied housing was $ 193,000. More than 600,000 housing units in the county, of which 65 percent are in structures with four or fewer housing units. Palm Beach County to offer recycling opportunities for all households, both single and multifamily (structures with five or more units). Commercial establishments can be recycled either through the collector of solid waste franchise or hire another company for recycling.

Discussion and Analysis
