Introduction

Fiction accomplishes many things that are not always possible with other forms of writing. For one thing, fiction lets the reader escape into a world that does not actually exist. Readers can find an escape from reality in the fantasy world of the author. Readers can also learn and explore concepts or ideals that might be rejected when viewed through a non-fiction piece. Fiction also allows the writer a lot of freedom. The author not bound by anything other than the elements of the story itself. The author does not have to research facts or stick to histories. They can write whatever they want to write. Anything can exist, and anything can happen in fiction. The level of freedom achieved through fiction writing is difficult to accomplish with other forms of writing (Jessica, 2011).
