Define the three criteria for evaluating effective team/group work (as stated in your text) and analyze whether the "team" in the video is effective or not.

Work of Schwarz and Hackman (1994) modified set three criteria necessary for effective groups. First of all, an effective team to provide output that meets or exceeds the standards of stakeholders. Second, the processes used to perform work of the members can work together effectively to current projects and future work. Finally, the whole team has experience in the needs of its members. In regards of these criterions, the video reflects the members to be, as a formality only, posing as a group rather than working as a team.

The team's results (products, services, decisions) must meet the standards of all those who have to use them. This implies that the team's goals must be defined in terms of who will be affected by the results he obtains. It is possible that several of the stakeholders to focus on completely different objectives. This is a consideration that must be considered when structuring teams. The experience you get the equipment in their actions should contribute to the welfare and development of its members.

b) Provide a review of Tuckman's five stages of group formation, and evaluate what stage the individuals in the video are. Explain your answer.

Group theory is driven by Tuckman, his theory was first developed in the year 1965 as the basis for effective group formation and leadership. This model acknowledges the fact that they do not start with a fully formed and functioning, but they evolve through phases. Tuckman proposed four stages of group development, which is then added one more.

Bruce Tuckman is a respected psychologist who first described the four stages of group development in 1965. Observing the behavior of small groups in different areas, spanning various phases distinguished groups and said that all groups have to reach these stages before reaching its maximum effectiveness. In 1977 redefined and developed his model along with Mary Ann Jensen who added a 5th stage. From then on, many have adapted this model. The four stages of group development are as follows:

Step 1. Training: Individual behavior is driven by a desire to be accepted by others, avoid controversy and conflict. Big problems and feelings are put aside and people are focused to meet the routine, like the organization of the team who makes the thing, when they meet, etc.. At this stage, when individuals gather information and impressions of others, and the scope of the task and how to approach it. This phase is comfortable, not too much conflict prevention.

Stage 2. Assault: Members of the group maintain the cordial with each other, while empeizan to appear the first work to resolve issues.
