The Code of Ethics highlights a course of action in the conduct of negotiations and highlights the fundamental principles of conduct added to any others who may have legal relevance. The Code of Ethics is not a list of behavioral rules that got slavishly addressed by the staff during the course of business; it is rather an application of common sense and trial. The code of ethics demonstrates an organization's commitment to best practice and make ethical considerations a primary decision making factor in everything the organization does. The code of ethics of the Wells Fargo Bank will be discussed in this paper and furthermore it will be discussed that as to what extent the code of ethics is just a matter of rhetoric or how fully it is put into practice.
Discussion
The code of ethics of Wells Fargo Bank demonstrates that the bank wants to build a positive atmosphere at the workplace. The codes of ethics designed by the bank are expected by them to be followed by each and every member to deal with stockholders, vendors, customers, and other investors (Wells Fargo, 2012). They expect the team members to follow the highest possible ethics and business conduct ethics. First of all the company expects all the team members to provide accurate and honest information about themselves to the company. Furthermore, they want their employees to provide authentic information to the customers and dealers as well. This is an effective code of ethic and possibly one of the most basic ones as each and every work requires honesty. It is unacceptable by the company to steer a customer to an unnecessary and inappropriate product merely for the sake of attaining sales credit. This is another appropriate code.
