A statement from a manager like 'I do not have time to plan and I live from day to day just trying to survive' is extremely alarming. Managers need to plan ahead for the purpose of making sure that their business remains sustainable in future (Leonard, Timothy & William, 1993). Moreover, the attitude of the manager is revealing that he is only working for short term profits and short term assignments.
