Violence on children is very debatable topic in different societies all around the world. The basic issue starts from the point that every parent wants their children to become good citizens, to have a wonderful life in the future, so they try everything to teach them the best thing. Furthermore, parents always think that whatever they teach will help the children in the future, so they want their children follow and obey them. There are many ways to teach their children, such as, giving them the freedom to discover or telling them what is wrong, and what is right. Nevertheless, there is a very common mistake about using violence to raise a child.
Parents should not be violent to children in any situation, as it is absolutely unacceptable because of moral issue, psychological problems, and family relationship for the children.
Discussion
Violence against children in any case must be considered as moral or even legal issue. All of the parents will want their children to become good citizens, and successful in their lives. Every parent has a dream like that because their children are their most important asset to them. However, the goals should not be achieved while the children being spanked, maltreated, and pained continuously everyday to become what their parents want (Edleson et al, p. 963). For example, many Chinese children, who prepared for the Olympics, suffer from long painful training daily by their coaches. Their children are like parts of their body, but they didn't feel hurt for their children. Mother Nature has arranged us, as human, higher than other animals because humans have a feeling, thoughts, and love. However, to attain their goal or their family's fame, those parents do not care about the children's feeling, life and childhood. In comparison, at least, an animal not only know how to take care of their child, but also, they will exchange their life to protect their child from danger (Edleson et al, p. 963).
