The organic movement is diverse and is driven by both producers and consumers. Producers that is farmers and gardeners have developed organics out of environmental concerns and fears for their own health and well-being. Consumers have turned to organics to provide safe, healthy, and environmentally sound food (Kristiansen, 2006). Overall, modern organic agriculture has grown from concerns about the negative environmental and social effects of conventional agriculture.
