Introduction
The A$650 million Martha Cove Marina Development at Safety Beach in Victoria, was recently awarded the 2007 Victoria “Award for Excellence for Master Planned Development” by the Urban Development Institute of Australia. Marina entrance channel bridge
Underpass structure and approach retaining walls
Pedestrian and vehicle bridges crossing the underpass
Marine Drive road alignment through the underpass and modification to connecting roads
Road drainage system and pump station
Dredged entrance channel and breakwaters
Marina revetment walling and boardwalks
Saltwater recirculation pump station for the marina

The municipality is home to more than 140,000 people, rising to over 180,000 during the summer peak period.
