The Great Gatsby was written by. F Scott Fitzgerald in 1920's. In this era he made many of his character within the Great Gatsby towards have a certain illusion about them. When you are former introduced towards a number of the characters they seem very different towards the end of the novel.

Jay Gatsby he is a rich successful businessman whom provides lavish parties every weekend. He is a very sporting man and provides his a lot of his finance and his house towards strangers. The truth of Jay Gatsby is that he was born within a destitute family whereas he participate the army and lies towards Daisy about his financial situation. Soon after the war he becomes a bootlegger and buys a huge mansion whereas he has huge parties every weekend wishing Daisy would stumble within one day.( Buccoli, 126)

The American Dream of life, relish, wealth and happiness is wanted via all, but alone few shall encounter it. The Great Gatsby, a fresh via F. Scott Fitzgerald, is about the American Dream, and those whom Endeavour towards encounter it, roaring 20's style. Jay Gatsby wanted towards be part of the rich. He wanted towards live the American Dream. This dream is different for the many civilians within this book. Nick Carraway, a young mid westerner whom goes towards New York towards teach the contract corporation, whom narrates the story. Jay Gatsby, whom was bred via Dan Cody, a second father towards Gatsby, after leaving his father transported towards the West Egg towards re-start his life.

Jay Gatsby wanted towards live his life across the past, ahead of World War I, when life was good. Before Gatsby had gone towards World War I the relish of his life was Daisy. Gatsby went off towards war leaving the relish of his life rear him. When Jay got back he attended Oxford University, still leaving Daisy rear, but Daisy couldn't wait much longer. She had located another relish, Tom Buchanan, towards whom she marries.( Prigozy, 141)

Gatsby devotes his life towards endeavoring towards regain his past and be a part of the social elite. Gatsby also wanted his relish back, Daisy. Finding out that Daisy is already married, Gatsby goes towards West Egg towards a house that is across the river towards Daisy's house, across from the green light.
