Richard Branson
Richard Branson is perhaps one of the most recognizable archetypal entrepreneur. Image that he has always emphasized manager. This entrepreneur has a column in Entrepreneur magazine where he answers about different topics related to the business world (Branson, 2007, pp 129). One of the most recognized brands in the world is now the Virgin brand. It is present in different market categories such as music, entertainment, health, travel, transportation, mobile phones, cosmetics, food, financial services. Its growth since the early 70s this band great success (Ferriss, 2009, pp 145).
For Branson, knowing how to delegate is a key tool, you're taught from very young and that has allowed attract good managers to grow their businesses and has allowed him to focus on new ideas and projects, as well as seeking new business (Branson, 2011, pp 84). The secret is to give these managers a high degree of autonomy, a belief that has allowed Virgin to take place it is today.
To do so is necessary to develop the ability to listen to others and realize that sometimes the other proposals are better than oneself, he says (Ferriss, 2009, pp 195 -199). That ability has enabled it to attract and retain the best talent possible for their team. This type of practice has allowed Richard Branson to investigate new ideas thoroughly and make decisions that set the course for the company (Branson, 2007, pp 136 - 137). Many managers consider delegating freely involves taking risks, but Branson says that building a business means taking risks that may or may not work (Branson, 2011, pp 79 - 84). Many believe that anyone can do the job better while sometimes people feel we are indispensable and that without us at the head of the project or team goals were not met.

Richard Branson did not finish his studies. In fact, he confesses, as a bad student, perhaps because of his dyslexia. His first business at age 15, was the issue of a magazine, which he did using the cab of his school to sell advertising with all the nerve, obtaining sufficient funding (Ferriss, 2009, pp 290 - 293). His motivation was never to be a businessman or an entrepreneur. Alongside the issue of the journal, he created a support group to respond to students who wrote to the magazine asking for advice and help for different reasons (Branson, 2011, pp 90 - 94).
