Introduction

Sexual health is a key public health issue in the US. In this study the provision of contraception services to young people in the light of national strategies to reduce teenage pregnancy would be examine.

Developing practice nurse roles is critical to establishing community-based contraception and sexual health services for young people, and reducing teenage pregnancy. To date, service provision has been patchy, often lacking in quality and, reportedly, problematic for some vulnerable groups.
