Biography

Susan Collins was born in 1962 in the village of Sandy Hook, near the New Town, District of Fairfield State of Connecticut, USA. Almost all of his childhood and youth spent traveling with his father, who traveled almost the entire east coast, were in Europe. Collins career began after her move to New York in 1991, she wrote scripts for children's television series and shows. Susan worked for the television channel "Nickelodeon”, which has been involved in projects Clarissa knows everything, Mystery Files Shelby Woo, Bear, Oswald, and others. Work on the project was inspired by Susan's children to write children's books. This is how the novel "Gregor Elevated", the first book in the series "The Chronicles of the under dark", published in 2003 (Roback, 12).

Though she has a long career of writing for children's television, Suzanne Collins has seen her reputation blossom since she began to write young adult novels. She began with the New York Times bestselling five-part fantasy/war series, The Underland Chronicles. And of course, her most acclaimed and popular work to date has been The Hunger Games trilogy, which the New York Times noted "revealed [her] outsize imagination for suffering and brutality." In addition to winning her a slew of awards, the novels have made Mrs. Collins popular enough to be named one of Time Magazine's Top 100 people in 2010 (Collins, 374).

According to ratings, "The New York Times' series is one of the most popular and sold. Between 2003 and 2007 years, Collins has written five novels of the series.
