Introduction

Conscience is the most important concern for the conduct of a person. It is the basic and the most important element of the human mind with the ability to distinguish between right and wrong. It is also important for a person to consider the different aspects of life according to the moral and ethical believes. These moral and ethical beliefs provide the foundation for developing the conscience of an individual. The conscience also provides a system which assist in preferring good act over the bad one. It influences the moral awareness of a person. It also deals with the judgment of choices and to keep ones fairness and honor. Our conscience is derived by the motivation, hope of rewards, fear of punishments, responsibility to perform the duty and concern about people's judgment about us. All these elements provide the basis for the important of conscience in our life. In the life of medical practitioners, conscience play a significant role, without conscience there is no concept of ethics. It is also very important that medical practitioner has to take an oath before joining the practice. The Hippocratic Oath provides all the concern regarding the code of ethics, and it is the duty of every practitioner to follow these rules. These codes of ethics are to be followed by the doctors, surgical technologists, nurses and other medical staff which includes the surgical technologists. This evaluates the basic criteria for the assessment of their conscience (Fairchild, 1993 p. 99). Surgical technologists are also no exception to these rules. In fact, surgical technologists are more often involved with the concept of the conscious. In case of lack of knowledge, negligence or personal misconduct may result in the death of the patient. Surgical conscious, assists in dealing with these problems.

Discussion

It is the most important responsibility of a surgical technologist, to care for all the measures and precautions required during the process of surgery. The most important is to be very careful during the process of applying the sterile and aseptic. It is the duty of the surgical technologists to consider all the precautionary measures which they have encountered during the process of surgery as a technician (Kneedler, & Dodge, 1994, p.297). This is the most important aspect which ensures the life of a patient in the operation room where his life is in the hands of such medical technicians. This requires proper consideration regarding the daily life of a person, or a surgical technologist.

Surgical Conscience as a Self Conscience

The most important concern regarding the surgical conscious is that a person cannot understand it properly until he feels it. It is the most important task for a surgical technologist to understand these concerns. It is also very important to understand the need of these considerations. This provides the need to understand what I feel as a surgical technologist.
