Sternberg Theory of Love

Man is a social animal; thus, needs people whom he can trust in difficult times and share his joy and sorrow. He also seeks attachment with people who can understand him and when this attachment grows deeper it is called love. Sternberg presented a theory of love which is commonly known as the 'Triangular theory of love.' (Dr. Bodinger-deUriarte, 2011). This triangular should not be confused with three people; in fact, this three means three components that should be present in a relationship. These three elements are passion, intimacy and commitment.
