The Stanford experience (Lucifer effect) is a study of experimental psychology conducted by Philip Zimbardo in 1971, the experiment was done with the mission to see the effects of prison conditions (Philip, 2008). It was created with students playing the roles of guards and prisoners. It aimed to study the behavior of ordinary people with the conditions defined for the participants (Blass, 1992).
