Introduction

“Midsummer Night's Dream” is a comedy by William Shakespeare in five acts. A comic character, a clown, in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Bottom is a weaver and one of the Athenian workmen who enacts the masque of Pyramus and Thisbe before Duke Theseus. His name may derive from the ball of thread or yarn which known as a 'bottom'. Bottom is an ambitious amateur actor who takes acting very seriously.
