Introduction

In this investigation, the internal and external structures of a sheep's heart have been examined and identified by dissection. The heart is a muscle which pumps oxygenated blood and nutrients throughout the body. A sheep's heart has four chambers, like most mammals. Two of these rooms are rooms called the right atrium and left. The other two bedrooms are pumping chambers called the right ventricle and left.
