Traditionally, Jews pray three times a day: morning, afternoon and evening. It is believed that these three moments of prayer corresponds to the time when sacrifices were offered in the temple of Jerusalem. So much so, as in other ways, Rabbinic Judaism still retains the structure of the abandoned temple worship. On the other hand the prayers of Christians are varied accordingly.
