Task 1: Conduct three of the following experiments. Record your reactions, and be specific for each experiment
Experiment 1:
In the first instance, when I rubbed my index finger on the sandpaper, it appear to be rather disturbing and ruthless, literally seeming that it would tear or pierce my skin, considering the coarseness of my finger. Also, it irritated my skin, turning into red.
The second time, when I rubbed my finger on the sandpaper, however, the pain this time around was bearable. The irritation was visible, since the skin has been exposed to the irritation that had come in front of us (Carroll et.al, 2002).
Experiment 2:
When the experiment occurred between the sugar water and the fresh water, the taste turned out to similar (Pearson, 2000). Even though, I had been swirling and swishing the sugar water in my mouth for quite some time, the sweet subsided, making the flavor and turning into not entirely clear water, but somewhere coinciding with it.
However, when I taste the clear water, it tasted exactly the way sugar water did, or at least the way it appears to me after endless swishing in my mouth. Initially my mouth thought it to be sugar water, but as soon as I saw the label of clear water, the flavor totally changed alongside the response of my brain (Gabriel et.al, 2006).
Experiment 3:
Yes, when I had been sitting in the dark for the 15-minutes, I realized that being the only source of light, it appeared to be much brighter and was the only source of illumination in the room. For the light to become invisible, it took 12 cards altogether.
Task 2: Write a paper that describes adaption and how you experienced it in your experiments.
A total of three experiments were undertaken in the process of understanding and comprehending how the sensory receptors or the senses respond to various surroundings and various conditions appear altogether in the above situations that have been undertaken.
For the purpose of understanding, sensory adaptations regard how the senses of the human body - sight, sound, touch, smell and taste - have become evident in the light of creating and understanding our immediate, surrounding environment and the challenges that have been occurring altogether.
Sensory adaptations are extremely important because we humans are designed to mold to different situations. All these experiments prove how the senses of the human body and mind combine ...
