Background of the study

Car cleaning businesses comes in all diverse designs — from full service to self-service to automatic to hand polishing. Contemporary people have a very hectic lifestyle. They often ignore to clean their cars, and sometimes the limited living space also is the problem for the people who want to clean their car but they do not have space to clean their car, particularly in Thailand. Consequently, the cars wash shops are growing in number quickly, and people are happy to send their cars there. In Thailand, hand-washing cars is more trendy, since the customers think using hands to wash is much gentler on the car(iluvthailand.wordpress.com). It does not damage the paint of the car, and it is a luxury way to take care of their cars.

Purpose of the study

I have lots of dreams. One of them is that, I would like to be a business owner. My dream comes close to becoming a reality during my study of Masters of Management. There is a project that every student has to complete called Independent Learning Project or ILP. ILP is an open topic which relates to issues in Management. ILP is a way to make my dream come true by creating a business plan that I can use in my real life. When I go back to my country (Thailand) I would like to run a successful business. The topic of this ILP is NIAP Spa Car Care.

There are many reasons that I would like to present this project. My family has own a business and I can help my mom run her business after I graduate. However I would like to stand by myself, I want to have my own business that makes my family proud of me. Because my family is very close to each other, it is not hard to help my mom's business and do my business at the same time. I know my family will support me. Besides, my uncle is also interested in opening a Spa Car Care business. I have asked him for assistance in sharing of knowledge and providing me with motivation to make this business plan.

The second reason for conducting this project is that I own a white car and I love it very much. I like it to be perfectly clean and look pristine. White is a color of cleanliness; I cannot stand a dirty car. ...
