OUTLINE
Weblight Solutions ('WLS) is a successful e-commerce development company that specialises in helping companies develop their e-business capability. This often involves the development of appropriate web presence, web applications and any accompanying back-end database requirements. The WLS also host the website in their own dedicated e-commerce server. In the scenario where the client chooses a different company for hosting WLS also advises them of other hosting companies. The WLS have recently won a contract to develop an e-commerce solution for a Frozen yogurt shop chain called the 'FOYO', which already has 5 outlets around the UK, but hopes to increase the number of outlets. Each outlet has a shop manager and upto 5 assistant staff, who, in the majority, have basic IT skills. However, they will be expected to provide customers and/or new staff guidance on using the new company website.
Purpose
To increase sales by extending e-commerce services online.
Analysis of Motivations towards the Project
The outcome of this project is in itself a motivation towards completing this project. This project will result in increasing the sales volume of the company by implementation of an e-commerce system.

Typical examples of this iterative approach would be IT projects, i.e. the design and development of products and services in the IT industry with its short innovation cycles and high probabilities of changing requirements during implementation phase.
Main Requirements of the Project

To analyze and document the specifications for the required functionality.
To acquire the needed hardware and software as part of IT infrastructure facilities.
