The purpose of proposal is to expand the boundaries of our knowledge by exploring some relevant facts and figures related to Ageing Aircraft Program. In this paper, we will present a typical structure of your maintenance team, together with the role of certifying staff, and the type of inspection that is commonly run in the maintenance program.

Structure of maintenance team
Our maintenance team will consist of Aircraft structures technicians, Structural Service Mechanics, Supervisors, contractors and other assigned Elliott employees. This team will provide world-class leadership, with the assistance of the management, to create a team atmosphere where members are challenged to fabricate and install structural repairs & modifications in a safe, efficient, and high quality manner achieving total customer satisfaction as measured by customer success drivers of on-time delivery, on-budget cost for parts & labor, and discrepancy-free aftermarket service support. The team will also provide Structural Service Support to maintain aircraft in the safest, highest quality, most efficient means possible (Kinnison,2004,5-9).
The Service Structural Team Leader will manage all aspects of assigned aircraft projects including the ability to accurately interpret & read aircraft blueprints/modification drawings, coordinating necessary resources, documentation, and communication with the appropriate personnel, including customers and management, to ensure timely completion of quality structural repair & modifications for delivery. Inspects, services, repairs and troubleshoots aircraft airframe and structural systems, composites, and components, in a safe and organized work area to meet manufacturers and STC Holders specifications completing all required documentation per the FAA approved Quality Control and Repair Station Manual Procedures & Requirements (Kinnison,2004,5-9).
Manage assigned team members, Structural Service Mechanics, Supervisors, contractors and other assigned Elliott employees on all aspects of assigned aircraft structural projects to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency throughout all phases of the projects. The team members will accept full ownership of assigned structural projects from pre-planning to delivery of aircraft projects by planning, prioritizing, and communicating with customers, company personnel, Original Equipment Manufactures', outside contractors and vendors. They will also ensure the safety and security of customer's equipment, parts and aircraft during all structural repair and modifications phases (Higgins,2001,2-7).
The team will be responsible to manage projects by scheduling and assigning work for team members and monitoring day-to-day activities of team members for compliance and quality performance. Holds team members accountable to Elliott Aviation approved policies and procedures including aspects of professionalism, safety, and cleanliness of the work environment. Ensure the team's and assigned personnel consistent use, control and compliance to appropriate approved technical data from authorized engineering sources, FAA approved documentation and original equipment aircraft manufacturers' maintenance & compliance documentation (Higgins,2001,2-7).
The team will also be responsible to oversee, complete, and maintain accurate & timely aircraft and project documentation. This documentation oversight includes review of preliminary reports to ensure accuracy of project forecasting, billed labor hours, review of work orders, and invoices, work order discrepancy and Pentagon documentation etc. to ensure timely and accurate entries, inventory allocation, appropriate sign-off language, and accurate charges for labor ...
