Earning a modern education in business field of Human Recourse Development provides a lifetime of rewards. Education is an investment in yourself. As with any investment it requires planning, saving and sacrifice, but will continue to pay you back for a lifetime. Individuals with a modern education have better job opportunities, earn more money and develop skills and knowledge that can never be taken away. Higher education unlocks doors to economic and educational opportunities.

HR education is about learning to think and learning different ways to analyze a problem and find a solution. One of the traditional purposes of a modern education is to prepare students for a future career in a learned profession (e.g. business, engineering, journalism, science and communication) but there is so much more that education can provide. Students of Western Michigan University are prepared to learn on their own by reading and doing. They are taught to think critically, to evaluate the credibility of information without depending on others reviews or an expert's endorsement. By learning the fundamentals they will be capable of teaching themselves.

The world is changing rapidly, and many jobs rely on new technology so more jobs require education beyond high school. With a college education an individual will have more jobs from which to choose. Educated people are employed at higher rates and with greater consistency. Research also indicates that the ability to change jobs, or to readily move to a different location, is correlated with educational attainment. Individuals who have attended business school have greater work opportunities and tend to have greater work opportunities and tend to have skill that can be more easily applied in different job settings, or in other geographical locations. Education also indicates that those individuals who have attended college receive better fringe benefits, including vacation time and health care, from their jobs. School trains students to express their thoughts clearly in speech and in writing and help them to make informed decisions. This training will help a person succeed in their everyday and business life. Individuals with business degrees, on the average seem to be healthier and more likely to be employed. They generally enjoy a better quality of life.
