The term Personality is interpreted as the psychological construct which tends to refer to the dynamic set of characteristics of a person. Many experts are of the view that the personality is also rendered as the mask of the individual. Therefore, it won't be wrong to state the fact that the personality is a set of characteristics which tends to shape up the behavior of the individual. However, there are certain forces which tend to shape up the personality of the individual and ultimately the way an individual tends to behave in the context of any environment. As the psychology has evolved over the period of time the notions attached to the construction of the personality has also evolved (Alvesson, 1982). As per the modern believe the personality tends to be summarized as the set of characteristics or pattern of feelings, emotions and thoughts related to behavior, i.e. thoughts , feelings , attitudes, habits and behavior of each individual that persists over time in response to different situations distinguish one individual from doing any different from others.
The personality persists in the behavior of people consistent over time, even in different situations or times, providing something unique to every individual who is characterized as separate and different. Both aspects of personality, and persistence distinction, have a strong connection with the construction of identity, which models the characteristics called traits or sets of features which, along with other aspects of behavior are integrated into a cohesive unit that finally describes the person. Thus, in the context of the paper we intend to shed light on the theories which intends to influence or drive the personality or actions under a certain situation. This will be done through different perspectives in order to develop a better understanding of the subject.
