Memo to the CEO

In this memo, I am addressing what new capabilities PepsiCo should develop in order to compete effectively in the global arena.

For a company to succeed in the global soft drink industry, it needs to achieve critical mass and develop a distribution system that is strategically aligned with its brands. Pepsi has attained them primarily in the United Kingdom. This means PepsiCo should focus its international soft drink business on the emerging markets of US, China, India and Russia as well.
