Moreover, all the negatives and positives involved with the experience particularly in relation with the aspects of leadership will be explored.

Discussion

The focus for this reflective activity was a recount of an experience on clinical placement as a student observing the hierarchy problems of leadership and communication on an evening shift. One of the most experienced RN's in the Recovery Unit was in charge for this particular evening shift. The experience and knowledge nurses possessed shown effective managerial roles and clinical problem solving capabilities. The RN in chare apprehended that the assisting RN and I were neglecting our patient and wanted to call the doctor about her concerns. The RN did not at all communicated with us regarding the concerns and did not provide us any chance to make the things clear. After assessing the situation, I decided to disagree with the decision of RN in charge. By communicating my viewpoint effectively, I made the RN in chare agreed to the assessment. Moreover, I believe that the information I provided to the RN in charge made her realize that I have been taking good care of the patient and the treatment is showing effective results.

This particular experience made me realize the various pitfalls in the leadership and teamwork efforts of ...
