Learning is a continual process in every person's life. The journey of essential learning begins in the classroom and ends at being shown, in an individual's behavior. In order to ensure an effective learning process, it is necessary to create an adequate space for excellent education in the classroom. In my opinion, an effective classroom emerges from interaction, discussion and never-ending brainstorming.
A good feedback from students, extremely responsive environment and discovery of new knowledge and information ensure the existence of an effective classroom. Happy students and satisfied faculty are the indicators of a satisfactory two-way communication. The introduction of new ideas and binding of students into a strong discussion network results in a cohesive environment which is the guarantor of an effective classroom. (Anne & Harvey, 2007)
Moreover, teachers and their behavior are the primary constituents of effective teaching. Explanation, demonstration and use of practical resources is the key elements, which help students in learning and experiences. The polite, courteous and loving attitude of a teacher results in motivated and harmonious class. Enhanced collaboration and participation gives boosted knowledge to the students and, in doing so, the teachers play a crucial role. Efficient teaching methods and exhibition of new and innovative techniques benefit the students and take them to newer and broader horizons of learning.
This is what makes an effective classroom. Thus, imparting knowledge to students in order to facilitate them with strong fundamentals is essential for ensuring effective teaching process.
Teaching and Assessment in Nursing
According to Furzard (1995), the term facilitator is defined, as an affirmative term which enables students to learn new techniques, in relation to their field. The teachers associated with teaching nurses are responsible for their learning through both, theoretical and emperical basis. The teachers in this course, have to adopt the process of mentor and facilitator. According to the studies by Rogers (1969), we cannot force to teach any person unless they are ready to learn and adapt themselves.
