Discussion
The T400, is a new color Inkjet web press introduced in the publication industry. The size of the T400 Inkjet press is 14.5 in width, 68.5 in length and 9.6 feet in height. It is Thermal Inkjet print technology with the native resolution of 1200 nozzles per inch, web width 42 inches and Print width 41.75 inches. It can print 5,236 U.S letters per minute.
The T400 has introduced 3 drying options. The Float IR dryer makes use of mixture of average wavelength to make a dryer which is 20% effective than any other technology. The T400 can be arranged with one, two or all the three dryer zones per engine. The T400 Inkjet web press also has a duplex vision which is attached at the second print engine.
The T400 also contains automated emulator which reads tension in actually time that enables press to adjust constant tension. It helps in maintaining the quality of print with tension stabled throughout varying ink density. The wider web width of the press promises lots of advantages. For instance 16 page 7x10” book signatures are enabled by a 30'' web prepared with a Muller Martini inline solution.
Conclusion
The T400 is a great innovation in the field of publication industry. If adopted, it will not only save the time of the publishers due to its fast printing speed but will also take the digital production to entirely new level .

At 42”, Bigger Can Be Better
When a new piece of hardware is introduced in the printing industry, the tendency is to ooh and aah over feeds, speeds, bits and bytes. And we will certainly do that in this article covering the introduction of HP's T400 digital production inkjet press. In fact, let's get that out of the way right now, and move on to what this new press means to the industry. The table below summarizes the press' bona fides. It should be noted that the T400 is actually a few feet shorter than the T300 due to some changes in the paper path and the drying mechanism. The T300 is 71.7 feet long.
