In today's era, where we live faces challenges of immense and cut throat competition. This is because of the rapid and frequent technological updates. This frequent technological advancement and updates enables organizations and individuals to get competitive advantage and to move ahead of the competitors. In this process of getting competitive advantage and to make the organization technological updated and to acquire the latest devised work processes and methodologies the research and its implications play an integral part. This is one of the reasons why the field of research has shown a tremendous development over the period of time. Similarly, with the passage of time this field of research is becoming a potent and vital part of in the discipline of science, medicine and healthcare. Medical informatics is the field that concerns itself with the cognitive, information processing, and communication tasks of medical practice, education, and research, including the information science and the technology to support these tasks. It is an intrinsically interdisciplinary field, with a highly applied focus, but it also addresses a number of fundamental research problems as well as planning and policy issues. After many years of development of information systems to support the infrastructure of medicine, a new generation of systems and tools are aimed at physicians and other health care managers and professionals - to support education, decision making, communication, and may other aspects of professional activity.

This increased significance of the research in the field of science and healthcare created an urge in me to pursue and gain information about this field. Science has always been my passion and this is the subject that has always fascinated me as I have done my Bachelors degree in Science subject. After the completion of my bachelor's degree I did my diploma to get the knowledge and information about the field of research in quality assurance and audit. This diploma lead me to a world which can be regarded as never lend. This world was of research. This diploma further increased my curiosity about the research. Life gave me the chance to travel and I came to U.S. In U.S, I had the opportunity to get the education and knowledge about the clinical research from a recognized and world class institute. So, to pursue this purpose and to fulfill my curiosity I decided to do my masters degree in clinical research. It was when I was enrolled for the masters program at Hampshire University that I selected by one of the renowned NHS hospital of U.S to work as the assistant researcher for the Doctor James Green. Doctor James Green is one of the senior surgeons and he is also the head of the clinical research department of the NHS hospital (John, 2007).

To me this practical experience was like a dream come true. I was excited to start working with Doctor James but at the same time I was nervous to. This experience led me to a practical world of the clinical ...
