Introduction

Nanotechnology is a branch of materials science. It essentially deals with manipulating matter on the atomic scale. It is known as 'nanotechnology' because it deals with engineering on the scale of a billionth of a meter, which is known as a nanometer. This is a promising technology, as it has the capability of solving a wide range of problems such as the construction of atomic scale machines and changing material properties at the atomic level.
