Do you agree or disagree with the author's notion of disability as a "cultural" construct"?

Yes, I agree with the author's notion disability as a cultural construct because cultural views of disability states that every person who call himself as a disabled person belongs to a certain group which shares tacit rules, discourse, experiences, and language. In this view, it can be said that, the notion of disability is one of distinction and belongings from individuals who do not share their identity of disability (Linton, 1998).
