Describe Selected Multicultural Experience

My experience was very pleasant I tried many different foods some that I was not so fond of while others were quite delightful. I found myself a little nervous to try many of the different foods, it was set up buffet style and I ended up sticking to a bread, and sauce that was a little tangy and spicy. Despite the fact that the food was very spicy even then, I enjoyed eating the food. One of the unique things that I experienced was that rice was served in a tray, and we had to eat it with our hands. There was no provision of a spoon or fork. Even though, it was quite difficult, but I enjoyed the experience of eating with my hands.

The Sociological features including the structure of the restaurant, the costs, clients, cultural heritage, conventions analysed the rich culture of the country from where the owners belong. These aspects establish the culture of work and labor mobility within that Indian restaurant. The food items, along with the services provided in the restaurant mainly depend on the need of people which affects their mind-set and the culture (Henley, 1991). The Indian way of life and cultural values were clearly visible from every corner of the restaurant. Mainly a code of conduct was developed through sociocultural environment that was followed by the business.

The internal environment of the Indian restaurant was made up of the elements that highlighted the Indian culture. The main part of the restaurant was that the stewards, the management of the organization, all portrayed the Indian culture. However, on the other hand, the restaurant clearly highlighted the rituals of Indian traditions through the employee's outfit and their behaviour. However, on the other hand, organizational culture is difficult to change in greatest circumstances, but then the requirements and the current technological trends forces the change. The employees who form the organization culture need a lot of time, in order to get used to the new approaches of consolidating (Deal & Kennedy, 1982).

Discuss your preconceived notions about the experience. Explain how your notions were impacted by group influence.

My preconceived notions were that I would not enjoy the food, especially when I went in and saw the different foods I was very nervous. The person that took me has been asking for a while if I would go with him. He is a physician from India and has wanted to open my eyes to his food for a long time. He had taught me a lot about the culture from India and spoke to me about ...
