Aim
The main aim of this study is to research the motivations and growth of international volunteer tourist.
Objectives
The main objectives of this research are to:
* Evaluate the tourism concept
* Evaluate the Volunteer Tourism in holistic context
* Analyze the Motivation of Tourism
* Analyze the opinions and experiences of volunteer tourists.
Rationale
The idea of conducting this research originated from the fact that tourism in the voluntary sector has been growing over the years. This report will be addressing the importance of actions that can lead to the upbringing of a new generation of volunteers and can generate an increase in volunteer tourism.
This study will present a way of theorizing volunteer tourism which enables to reconceptualize views of tourism. The hegemonic constructions of powerful Western industrialized countries in a period of neoliberal ascendency require views that provide different ways of interacting. Such constructions can be imposed on developing countries with the risk of destroying culture and values.
The complexities of tourism spill over into the doing of research, raising a number of challenges. These fall in two broad but related categories. The first relates to the work still needing to be conducted in the field of tourism studies. The second and perhaps the more problematic set of ongoing challenges cuts deep into wider debates on epistemologies, pedagogic practices, and the structures of learning; it relates to the doing of tourism studies and to the ways in which we can construct, interpret and disseminate our understandings of tourism.
As tourism continues to develop its complexity as a social practice and as part of the international structures of business and policy, it is increasingly important that we understand the fullest extent of the processes and possibilities at all of its stages and scales.

A number of researchers have stressed why volunteer tourism is important (Singh, 2004, pp 181-194) (Stoddart, and rogerson, 2004, p 311). The volunteer tourist seeks a different experience from the ...
