Introduction

The main purpose of this paper is to identify the motivational enhancement strategies for the psycho-educational strategies in eating disorder. There are different interventions used for the purpose of delivery of the psycho educational interventions in eating disorder. These interventions are mainly used for the purpose of the sociability, therapeutic and the cognitive benefits which can be received by providing the challenging thinking patterns, education social interaction and skill teaching. This theory is used for reviewing the theories which can be applied for the psychosocial educational interventions in eating disorder and is available in different psychoeducation theory. The psychoeducation is used for the purpose of providing the training to the people for the purpose of providing them the therapeutic interventions. Psychoeducation is considered to be a combination of different therapeutic elements involved in the therapy intervention of family. Thus there is a great need of the motivational enhancement techniques to be used for the purpose of therapeutic interventions of psychoeducation interventions in eating disorder. The different theories which have been discussed in this paper as the motivational strategies for delivering the psycho-education interventions in eating disorder are the cognitive and behavioral therapy (Cash & Pruzinsky 2004 pp. 12).

Discussion

Eating disorder is considered to be an important disorder faced by the human beings of these days. There are different interventions which are used in the cases of eating disorders. These interventions are helpful in limiting the eating disorders and save tha patient from the disorder. These interventions manages the causes of disorder and also manage the risk exposure. Thus, the main step for these preventions is to identify a motivational enhancement strategy which could be used for the purpose of ending the eating disorders and motivating the client to adopt the ways which could be helpful in ending the eating disorders. According to Morse, the main logic and theory which is presented behind the psycho-education in eating disorder is mainly dependant on the individual psychology. This is the best approach used for the purpose of gaining the knowledge and information about the meaning of being human (Cooper 2006 pp. 23). Additionally, Wood and Brendtro have also contributed their learning about the importance of psychoeducation in eating disorder. According to them, there is also a great importance of cognitive psychology in the field of psychoeducation in eating disorder. The cognitive psychology is used for the purpose of incorporating the challenging maladaptive thinking process and also providing the guidance about the different substitutes which can be used in the adaptive patterns of thinking. Thus, for the clients with eating disorders this can serve as the best approach. According to Wood, the theoretical perspective as the systematic, functional, integrated, comprehensive, holistic, multimodal and multicultural. Thus, these are the main qualities associated with the psycho-educational interventions in eating disorder (Crisp 1996 pp. 34-89).
