In today's fast pace of competition, the operational challenges have been increased and the companies have become more conscious regarding the job performances within their business operations.

It is very essential for the human resources department to make the detailed analysis of the jobs that are required by different units of the organization. In this case study it has shown that the ABC Healthcare Company that is formed one year ago as a result of a merger between two health care companies the Arthritis Company, Inc., and the Famous Healthcare Company has understand the importance of job structure. The company is trying to manage the costs by developing the effective job descriptions so that the company can achieve the greater level of profit margins. The job design and job description has ultimate impact upon the overall company's performances. In the later section, it will be explained in detail that how an effective job study can be conducted before developing the formal job descriptions and job specifications of the required jobs. There are various essential factors that are required to be considered while going through the development and designing of job description and specifications. Such factors will also be discussed in detail in the later section.
