Kuwait towers

The Kuwait Towers, as the name suggests are three towers situated in Kuwait. Out of the three towers, the main one is approx. 187 meters tall. It's primarily used nowadays as a water tower and a restaurant. It also possesses a “Viewing Sphere”, which has the capability of elevating to about 123 meters above the sea level, and has a built in mechanism which keeps the sphere perpetually in rotation motion. This unique function gives the beholder a complete and panoramic view of the sea and the city every thirty minutes, which is the time it takes to complete one single rotation.

I went there with my family last year when we went to Kuwait for our vacation. We went to the restaurant in the tower. It was a spectacular affair. My family ordered a heavy lunch because we were going to go further sightseeing later on. The meal was delicious and we tasted a variety of new dishes. But the best part of the whole deal was the view and the ambiance. Later in the View Sphere we saw the view Kuwait Tower was famous for. It was breath taking. We could see the whole city sprawling beneath us on one side, while the water on the other. We were all flabbergasted with the majesty and the beauty of the scene. The whole event became a fond memory for me because of the family closeness and of course beauty of the scene, which I was treated to courtesy of the Kuwait Towers. This is why I reserve a soft spot in my heart for them.
