Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG), member of Jardine Matheson Group is an international hotel investment and management group of luxury hotels, resorts and residences in Asia, Europe and Americas. Group has received awards for their service and management as well as spas and restaurants in many of its hotels and resorts.

Group now operates or has under development, 41 hotels representing over 10,000 rooms in 27 countries with 17 hotels in Asia, 12 in Americas and 12 in Europe, Middle East and North Africa. In addition, Group operates or has under development, 13 residences at Mandarin Oriental connected to their properties.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is based in Asia, and has plans to establish the hotel in Tokyo, from mid-1990. At opening of this hotel, we used the coherent interior theme fused images of "forests and water", symbolizing four seasons and natural environment in Japan with original fabric designs in sync with traditional Japanese kimono, that are representative of Tokyo Nihonbashi area. At same time, we have implemented most advanced IT facilities possible; to demonstrate that Japan is one of most advanced IT countries in world. "Legendary Service" refers not only to human services. Parent company, Mandarin Oriental International Limited is incorporated in Bermuda and has the list of premiums in London Stock Exchange, with secondary listings in Bermuda and Singapore. Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group International Limited, which operates from Hong Kong, manages activities of group's hotels. Mandarin Oriental is the member of Jardine Matheson Group.

Group began with opening of his flagship, Mandarin, in Hong Kong in 1963, shortly to build the reputation for luxury service. In 1974, Mandarin International Hotels Limited was established as the hotel management company. Group's intention was "to expand in Asia and operate hotels that reflect level of service synonymous with [their] property in Hong Kong."

In 1974 interests of hotel company expanded through acquisition of 49% in east of Bangkok. Oriental was built in 1876, and legendary property recognized as one of largest hotels in world. Through management of both Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong and Bangkok, group was in unusual position of having two "flagship" hotels whose names were among finest in hospitality.
