In this paper, we will be discussing about the tourism industry of London and its various categories such as ecotourism, dark tourism, medical tourism, education tourism, required management and hospitality for tourism.

Introduction
In the 21st century, globalization, population, and technological advances in various sectors have assisted to establish tourism into one of the world's biggest industries. According to a study, the receipts of tourism have reached more than £1100 billion by the end of 2006. In addition to that, this sector has generated more than 350 jobs. Since, the sector has the ability of generating income, taxes, currency and jobs, the industry of tourism needs to develop more to make a significant contribution to the country's economy across the globe. Tourism industry is one of the largest worldwide, generates nearly 212 million jobs and represents an important contribution to gross domestic product of many countries.
Tourism is an umbrella term for travelling, the travel industry and the hospitality industry and in use since the 1980s. According to the World Tourism Organization the industry is one of the world's largest industries achieving revenues of about 623 billion U.S. dollars, in 2004. In addition to this, with around 100 million jobs, tourism is one of the largest employers. Cross-border trips account for 25 to 30 percent of world trade in services (Sheldon 2005). According to the World Tourism Organization, tourism comprises the activities of persons travelling to and staying in places outside their usual environment for a consecutive period of less than one year and more than one day for leisure, for business or other reasons (Cooper et al. 2001). Tourism is defined as the set of trips whose purpose is pleasure or business or professional reasons and the like, and for which the absence of habitual residence is temporary, are not made to travel tourism transferred to the workplace. Tourism is the set of relationships and phenomena produced by the movement and stay of people away from home, while such movement and residence are not motivated by a lucrative business.
In this paper, we will be discussing the various aspects of tourism in London. For instance, we will be exploring hospitality and how it must be managed in the context of London, the selected destination for tourism.
Literature Review
London has been an influential city for two millenniums and its history goes back to its founding by the Romans. The core of the city, the ancient city of London, still retains its medieval boundaries.
