The lifespan perspective in psychology implies that the development process is not limited to that from birth to adolescence. Rather, the development occurs through the lifetime, is multidirectional and multidimensional and is also multi determined by various interactions.
Introduction
It is clear that the behavioral and social psychologists previously only concentrated on infancy, childhood, and adolescents. Accordingly, they failed to consider the adulthood perspectives. However, now the psychologists and social scientists have adopted the lifespan perspective. This perspective looks at the biological, social circumstances and psychological perspectives over the entire lifespan of development.
