The purpose of this letter is to request the university to reconsider my admission. I have been very ill and was not able to pass two of my exams and submit one essay on time. I want to give the complete details of my absence. I am capable of performing well and would like to request you to allow me the privilege of studying at your university.
In April and May, during the examination period I was still suffering from my ill health. Due to weakness, I experienced faintness, which hindered my ability to prepare for my exams. I also missed the deadline of an essay submission during the same time. As I could not live on my own, my family took me back with them to Birmingham. My mother and a friend accompanied me back so that I would give my HRM exam. Even then, they informed the concerned people that I am not well, and they should inform them in case I start to feel faint during the examination.
The illness carried on for the next few months, and in May, I flew to Yemen. I was to arrive back to the United Kingdom on 21st of August. However, due to ill health, I was not able to travel back. I had to be hospitalized on the 16th of August and was released on the 19th of September. During this time, I was not allowed to leave the hospital premises. Due to the poor law and order situation in Yemen, the doctor visited me after every two days. The hospital was full of patients, with fewer doctors. I was unable to eat or drink, therefore, the hospital kept me under observation until the 19th of September.
In 2010, I was hospitalized due to a similar situation. The doctors feared that my appendix is causing the problem. They operated and removed my appendix. However, after the operation, they could not diagnose the problem any further. Removal of my appendix was not necessary.
By this time, there was a war in Yemen and the flights were all booked. The Yemen authorities had closed down the airport. The war was raging, and I could not travel back to the United Kingdom. I requested one of my relatives to find a flight and book it for me. After ...
