A mentor is someone who has got lot of knowledge, information and good level of education who can guide the students in a proper direction for the betterment of their career. The authors always try to examine a project and focuses on preparing special education to mentor pre-service teachers throughout their preparation program, instead of mostly at the end of their program. Through use of classroom literacy artifacts, mentors are prepared in how to guide novices as they transition through coursework and into classroom practice.

Fifteen mentors participate in the year long project and have regular interactions with pre-service teachers through campus field advisories. Responses regarding the selection, preparation, and discussion of the artifact are collected. Findings indicate that mentors can select and use artifacts that illustrate teaching complexities. Also, pre-service teachers value the discussions surrounding the artifacts and say it helped them learn about teaching students with disabilities. Although helpful as a way to focus on learning to teach students with disabilities, the artifact is still only a resource. Key to its usefulness is work with mentors to help them select, plan, and discuss the artifact is hugely recognized as one of the most important restriction for providing superior quality education guidance to students with limited ability and the lack of highly qualified teachers who have got a sound knowledge for their subject becomes a huge problem for the students. No matter, the specialized educator coordinates with a general education teacher or carries the major responsibility for a class, it is crucial that the specialized teacher needs to develop useful skills for teaching material that is related to the discipline and to make sure that students must meet the minimum quality standards and must have the right to study the general curriculum. Therefore, it's quite necessary to have an instructor whose preparation is very good and is keen to improve himself or herself in the near future. (Glasgow, 2006)

Although the beginners in the teaching field learns to teach academic material to the students but they even face difficult challenges during their work. There is a trend these days from many teachers to avoid themselves for handling a course load or to give very little effort in teaching to the students because they try to spend time with the peers, colleagues. This particular thing certainly affects the studies of students and they face problems during their examination. Therefore, after all these activities, the concept of mentoring started to gain fame and students became more interested to acquire the services of a mentor rather than depending on the teachers who are not at all sincere with the students. In this article, the useful contribution that the mentor can provide to the students has been discussed in details.
