Introduction

Leadership is a concept that used in many different contexts with a range of meaning. There is still lack of understanding to what leadership is and what constitute outstanding leadership. Leadership role and leaders been acknowledged. This been highlighted in business and profession. I believe effective leaders possessed beneficial traits that comprise of equality, ethics, fairness, justice loyalty, professional and community involvement that represent him a leader. Leadership quality is not bounds to religious or racial factors, neither cultural nor ethnic borders rather leaders can be from anywhere (Wren, 1995).

Discussion

Modern leaders are products of evolved leadership. Time passes and everything evolves, including leaders and leadership approaches. Circumstances progress and complexities usually go with change and progress that is why leaders of today have to learn to adapt. This is the foremost characteristic of contemporary leaders. Old school leadership tends to be rigid and authoritative. It used to be that leaders were the ones with overwhelming machismo and brute strength. Traditional leadership may still have its merits, but modifications in its methods are necessary to be effective in today's setting (Minkes A & Small et al., 1999).

Leaders create examples for others. They inspire their followers through his productive work. Followers look direction from a leader and willingly want to follow him; one cannot be a leader with followers. In other words, thing that admire and follower look for. My purpose is to create an environment in the school, community, teachers, and staff and among students where they can grow, share and respect each other. This purpose need to have a leadership quality in order to create this environment. However, the role of the leader is to create a supportive environment where people can flourish, productive and live in harmony (Bush T. & Glover D., 2004).

In order to create a community where mutual understanding and responsibilities given more importance than anything else and every person given value in terms of dignity and welfare (Leadership of 21st century 1997). According to Sergiovanni, leadership purpose is to create a shared followership. In order to develop a leader in yourself, you should understand the work and formula of high quality decision. It is a leader responsibility to articulate the task to your followers. You committed as a leader to your people to achieve and realize undertaking of the business in the most well and organized and in a precise manner. However, when you are dealing with your client you need to know and recognize the way you will protect your company and yourself. I believe that to become a leader there are certain responsibilities attached that is ought to have knowledgeable in the ability of leading (Shamir & Eilam, 2005).
