The purpose of studying language acquisition in primates
In order to understand the process of evolution of human species, the research regarding the primates' ability of language acquisition plays an integral part. One of the main purpose of studying language acquisition in primates is that study regarding this issue may highlight and reveal various aspects of the process of language development in human beings early ages. This shows that conducting and understanding the study about the language acquisition in primates provides insight into our primeval ancestor (Tomasello & Call, 1997).
