According to different sources, there are several approaches through which the alternate strategies can be developed in order to prevent pressure ulcers. A priority nursing concern when caring for patients with orthopedic problems is to protect them from the complications of immobility (Allman, 1987). Inactivity, immobility, and fewer than necessary body position changes can lead to compromised skin integrity, particularly over bony prominences, and compromised function of many body organs and organ systems. These effects can range from slight to catastrophic. The longer an individual is immobilized, the more profound will be the systemic complications. Moreover, the costs associated with the complications of immobility are staggering in terms of human suffering, physiologic damage, and real dollars.
Changes in the musculoskeletal system include osteoporosis, decreased muscle mass, atrophy, and contractures. Renal calculi and urinary tract infections are complications of the genitourinary system that result from immobility (Duffy, 1994). The skin often sustains severe damage in the form of pressure ulcers when an individual is immobile. The purpose of this paper is to enlighten and explore the evidence based practice in terms of pressure ulcer prevention. The analysis in this paper portray diverse literature findings and analysis on the basis of which evidence based healthcare strategies can be formulated in order to address pressure ulcer concerns. Nonetheless, this paper aims to provide guidance for future researches that are aimed at preventing pressure ulcers. Moreover, the analysis in this paper can be used to illustrate diverse strategies to cope with pressure ulcers.

Description of the Research
This study was supported by the fact that there can be several protocols that can assure evidence-based care in terms of pressure ulcer treatment (Chaves, Grypdonck, DeFloor, 2010). Moreover, another rationale for this study proposes that if the efficient measures are adapted by the healthcare professionals then pressure ulcer occurrence can be reduced effectively. Nevertheless, there is lack of certainty regarding the results of suggested protocols if adapted. However, the authors assert that there would be eminent advancement as long as pressure ulcer treatment is concerned. According to the analysis of the article, it can be asserted that there are several healthcare concepts discussed in this study that can be useful in effectively coping with pressure ulcer concerns. Nonetheless, the core conception of this article is to elaborate the quality focused measures that can assist the healthcare professionals while treating the patients of pressure ulcer. This article selected the study sample from a home care center located in Netherlands, and analyzed the selected sample size in order to provide rationale for the findings.
Methodology of the Research
The data obtained from the checklist used in this research was analyzed by using the statistical technique called descriptive statistics. The analysis of the data focused on the weighted scores on the checklist in order to assess the quality standards used to treat ulcer ...
