Introduction
In the world today where people and individuals are progressing so fast with the passage of time, not only has technology changed how disciplines worked previously, but also made way for the development and understanding of establishing new and improved methods of executing tasks at hand.
In disciplines and areas of expertise, where absolutely no room for fault or flaw exists, such as nursing, aviation, army, etc., there lies an extensive need of creating and maintaining standards and benchmarks for all to comply to and deliver while serving and executing their purpose in the organizations.
Hence, for this paper, our focus would upon the area of nursing and healthcare, where the gist would revolve around the kind of standards that are maintained in the area, where people come for client servicing and having themselves treated for illness, disease, ailments or simply a better shot at life itself.
Maintaining Standards
Maintaining standards, particularly in the case of nursing, heavily stresses and depends upon how to cater to patients and making for effective understanding and comprehension of the kind of issues and concerns, which not only makes it difficult for people to continue to deliver quality performance but maintain that to a certain level (Zomorodi & Lynn, 2010).
Maintaining a certain standard is rather synonymous with quality control and quality assurance. Creating a benchmark and maintaining that particular level not only intends added pressure on part of the employee who make way for maintaining those standards and continuing to deliver quality service to clients and individuals alike (Roberts, 2006).
