In traditional Chinese society, the men carried out important work in the vast majority of organizations. In the field of labor, women are relegated to support functions such as secretarial work, and it was not uncommon to find university graduates leading large departments of major companies. Currently, the vast majority of countries have adopted legislation that establishes equal compensation for equal work, for which (although differences in income level off still persist in many cases) it is foreseeable that such distinctions based on gender will soon be a memory. Another important change in the composition of the labor forces of our countries is the increasing levels of internal and external immigration experience our societies. The internal migration occurs when a person decides to settle in a place other than their birth, within their own country (Vance & Paik, 2010).

New Demographic Factors

Like any human group, the Chinese workforce is in constant evolution and change. All people experience positive and negative changes-in their level of education, age, health, income and so on. In most cases the sense taking these changes can be determined because they tend to occur rather slowly. Furthermore, it is often possible to measure them accurately. Among the prominent demographic changes include:

Progressive reduction in the birth rate

Increased education accelerated.

Improved life expectancy and general health indicators (Schuler & Jackson, 2007).

Economic Changes

Economic difficulties experienced by China economy in recent years are considerable, but an undeniable fact is that even in these difficult circumstances, many companies have managed to consolidate, grow and prosper. Especially, when economic conditions are adverse, companies and the integrated personal struggle to find answers to new challenges.

Cultural Change

Cultural attitudes of a society may be the most important elements for the performance of an organization. For example, the basic attitude of the public has changed in recent years, respect for the young professional. A change of this type can have profound changes in the way a company serves the community (Hu, 2007).

Technological Change

Technology exerts profound effects on personnel management. At the turn of transport, for example, a strong band of workers can unload a truck full of boxes of fruit in an hour, but a technician equipped with a suitable hoist manages to take the same task in the space of five minutes.
