CHAPTER 3: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Introduction

This chapter will provide a description about the research methods that are going to be employed for conducted this study. Furthermore, its will also provide an idea about how the information will be collected for the conduction of the study. Along with this, the chapter highlights various limitations that might create hurdles in conducting the study.

Research Methodology

This research will be based on the secondary information and questionnaire survey. The research will encompass the publications, articles and similar studies accessible on the Internet. Keeping in view, the approach taken in earlier studies the research began with a broad analysis of the existing literature. The findings & conclusions will be based on the secondary data and questionnaire results (Kumar, 2007, 37).

Application of Methodology

The criteria of selection for literature will be relevant to the research topic and year of publication. Both public and private libraries, as well as online libraries, are going to be visited to access data. Some of online databases that will be accessed are Ebsco, Questia, Emerald, Phoenix and so on (Kumar, 2007, 34). These data bases will enable access to many libraries that contain a plethora of information and recent knowledge about the concerned topic. Also, the data is mostly peer-reviewed and validates.

The technique of library research and indexing would be employed which utilizes similar texts written on the subject and incorporate them into the dissertation (Davies, 2007, 33). Also, help would be taken from various surveys and data gathering organizations which conduct research on a recurrent pattern on a variety of topics, for example Gallup and AC Nielsen. It is not that difficult to search and gather the secondary information, nevertheless, the researcher should be aware of all the limitations and problems that might arise if those are iginored.

Secondary data can be general and vague and may not really help companies with decision making.

The information and data may not be accurate. The source of the data must always be checked.

The data maybe old and out of date.

The sample used to generate the secondary data maybe small.

The company publishing the data may not be reputable.

Research Approach

The research approach used will be based on mixed method. Qualitative research is much more subjective than quantitative research and uses very different methods ...
