This chapter will provide the background of this study and justification for conducting the research through providing importance of this research. Furthermore, it will discuss the main aims and objectives and research questions that are going to be the base of the research.
Background of the Study
Communication and Information technology has acquired a vital and significant place in the world. It has become essential in every walk of life and has become an important part of workplace, education and country's economy. In the entire world, majority of the work is been performed through these machine and children are more interested in working and playing on computers (Solomon & Schrum, 2002, 34). The number of internet users has been rapidly increasing with the constant developments and innovations of the Internet. It has been observed that the social class and age of Internet users is highly rich and has a vast impact on the young people. Therefore, the influence of internet on community and the contributions to society cannot be ignored.
The use of Information technology productively is one of the most important indicators of economic and national developments. Innovations, and developments in technology, specifically in Information technology, has brought huge changes and have extensively contributed towards making things easier in every-day life. It is true that the role played by information technology is very important and the issues related to its use in contemporary education system are increasingly discussed on global level. In the field of education, majority of the specialist's state that is used properly, Internet and communication technology can significantly enhance and foster learning and teaching. According to a researcher, the emergence of Internet, specifically www (World Wide Web) has provided a unique dimension to the creativity and delivery of information, which globally generated digitization of programs (Kuhlemeier & Hemker, 2007, 460).
Research Aim and Objectives
The main aim of the research is “To find out the ways in which the internet teaching in young children be used effectively and efficiently.” This aim will be achieved under the light of following objectives:
To indentify possible causes that encourage teachers to use Internet in primary classrooms
To figure out the effects caused by the teachings through internet in the young children
To identify the ways through which teachers can incorporate technology in effective teaching to the young children
