Homelessness

Introduction

This discussion will attempt examine the social problem of HOMELESSNESS in order to develop a plan to address this problem in a single community. In order to integrate a social work intervention model, the discussion will give relevance to the areas of the role and relevance of community work. It is necessary to individualize the treatment of homeless, of course, within the same program. We see such need to increase the number of individual meetings with the therapist, especially when difficulties arise regarding the participation of the patient groups (Amster, 2008; Healey, 2006). Our patients really appreciate this kind of work. In the initial stages of treatment, the therapist is often the only person close to them. The importance of the social problems of homelessness are not only difficult to grasp the quantitative parameters, but also the dynamics of the phenomena and changes in the structure of the population (Oher & Yaeger, 2011; Thompson, 2012). Synthetic studies in the field of social policy emphasize the increasing rate of the phenomenon goes beyond his reach, and environmental groups traditionally associated with homelessness (Layton, 2000; Levinson, 2004). The homeless are also linked to such negative phenomena as alcoholism, drug addiction, begging, prostitution, crime, and epidemiological risk.
